I’m Desmond McNelis, the proud owner of Highland Management Group.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I got into the business to build my skill set and attain sales expertise. As I had no previous marketing experience, I diligently imbibed the training and found that the harder I worked, the faster I grew.

As I progressed, I was entrusted with more responsibility and started to mentor others. My compassionate and motivational approach soon led to getting offered the chance to run a branch. 

Over the past couple of years, I’ve noticed that the enterprise is constantly adapting to products in new markets. We strive to satisfy customers’ needs by maintaining consistent systems and meeting our organizations’ goals. 

Consequently, we work with passion, and I believe what sets us apart is our core values of commitment, leadership, and integrity, which builds trust with clients.

I also attribute our success to teamwork, as my staff is dedicated to constantly learning and developing. Each member’s hard work radiates throughout the office, and they are always helping each other improve under my stewardship.

Consequently, I enjoy empowering my employees to grow, and when they get promoted, it fills me with an immense sense of pride. I try to impress on them that you get back exactly what you put into the business.

When I’m not brainstorming with my team, I like taking them to hockey games to reward and recognize their efforts. 

Away from the office, my hobbies include fishing, crabbing, and boating. I also have a huge family and love having fun with my eleven nieces and nephews.

Besides, helping the environment and reducing plastic use and excessive waste in waterways is essential to me. Therefore, I support the Chesapeake Bay Foundation as I grew up fishing and crabbing in the local area and want to protect the health of the water in my community for generations to come.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
